Does anybody have any data about increasing harmonic penetration and possible electrical resonance in EHV transmission systems caused by utility scale renewable with nontraditional (non-synchronous) generation (Solar, PV, Wind, etc)?

EHV can be taken relative - I'm assuming you mean something along the lines of 230kV to 735kV?

Actually I'm looking for possible causes of 230-500kV transmission equipment failures in utility system with large scale renewable generation interconnected. For the cases were excessive transients or/and electrical resonance may be created by concentration of multiple mechanically switched shunt reactors, shunt/series capacitors, SVCs, etc. within nontraditional (non-synchronous) generation environment.
