Hi guyz i have one questions for you. if any one has any idea about the presence of SiO2 globular oxides in ferritic stainless steels and how it affect corrosion resistance and what its effect on the micro structure. Your help would be appreciated in this regards.

Most ferritics have fairly low corrosion resistance (18% Cr?).
Where the oxide inclusions are exposed on the surface you will have a source for locally accelerated crevice corrosion.
It is not as bad as Cr oxide, but it isn't good.
