Hi all,

If I want to edit a part in context of assembly, I open it by clicking RMB and edit. But I can't dimension feature from any other part in assembly although they are showing in screen. So if I for example want to make a hole, dimensions X300 Y300 from the edge of other part in assembly, I have to first make a draft from assembly and calculate dimensions there. It's pretty effortful this way. I'm using SE20

Thanks

By the way, once you've got your design fairly firm I recomend dropping the links to the other partsi under most circumstances.

This type of thing can create interpart links which can come back to bite you.

Thank you KENAT, peer edge locate and activating the part from which the feature is dimensioned did the trick. This helps a lot my life.
