try using Edit With Rollback and see if that solves the problem

so whats the difference between edit feature & edit with rollback? sort of makes edit feature obsolete? thanks for you response

Edit with rollback is in a sense recreating the feature as opposed to actually editing it.

As for your second question, editing the feature does so in the context of the existing state of the model, while rolling it back does so in the state the model was in when the feature was originally created.
Hope that makes sense!

Think of 'Edit with Rollback' as going back in time to when you actually created the Feature.

Not speaking about the option of later getting the tool body back, ( Keep Tool)

Be a little aware about that if one uses the Keep Target ( and in part : Keep Tool) , the feature tree can be very difficult to understand if the model is complex. due to that suddenly a copy of the body appears in the graphics but the origin of that copy is hidden inside the boolean feature. ( No "Copy feature" in the feature tree)
I have seen complex models ( several hundred features) where the user by mistake had added multiple features onto the copy and other features to the original body. - There are 2 bodies which are identical at the time of the feature and which one of the two is "the real one" is very difficult to see/ decide.

Use the "extract Body" instead , then it's far easier to understand the model due to that it will highlight in the navigator.
