I'm tyring to model a truss in SAP2000, v8.3.5. My truss is in SolidWorks, but importing using IGES format results in disassembly of my assembly! I've tried to build the truss in SAP, but a key component is a rail mounted by 19 brackets to an I-beam. I can't model that with a 1-D line, and SAP doesn't seem able to handle my 3D extrusions. This is for the purpose of dynamic and thermal load analysis. Any tips, or do I need to clarify? Thanks
