Hello
I am in the process of looking for two drum pumps, one to be used on sulfuric acid and one to be used with 32% potassium salt in methanol. I need the potassium methylate drum pump to be speced as a hazardous location as methanol is highly flammable in addition to being classified as highly corrosive (xp motor with high corrosive pump). The other sulfuric acid drum pump is a highly corrosive but low flammability and high reactivity (air driven motor with high corrosive pump).
Below are the estimated NFPA ratings:
1) Potassium Methylate (32%)
Health: 3
Fire: 3
Reactivity: 2
2) Sulfuric Acid (98%)
Health: 3
Fire: 3
Reactivity: 2
If anyone has any recommendations for drum pumps to be used for these materials, along with what kind of relief systems I can find for the drum vents themselves, I would appreciate it.
Thank You
