Hello,

I am trying to complete a thermal analysis of a drum brake. The pressure distribution is nonuniform and so as such causes a nonuniform heat flux and I am wondering if there is an easy way to model this in ANSYS.

Any help appreciated

I don't know about Ansys, but since the drum is rotating - the heat flux will be highly averaged, won't it?
The drum has some thermal mass in the friction area, look at a heat input that varies at rate of wheel rotation?

Can you perform a real world test with a thermal history coating?
