Hello there,

Wondering if anyone has had trouble using a Illustrator 9.0 file to make a pretty drawing templates in SW 2000. When I import, the graphics don't come through properly, leaving me to attempt a nice template with thenot so excellent graphic tools of SW.

Cheers,

Ian

I,

This can be troublesome. One of the easiest ways I ahve found to imoport company specific logos, is to open the logo in whatever program the logo is in, save it as a Windows Metafile, OPEN the graphic in Word, then CUT it from Word and PASTE it into the Solidworks drawing.

Make it into a solidWorks block, and then you can add it to your SW Format.

When using the new import Abodi Illustrator in Solidworks, you need to make sure that your artowrk is completely flat (no grouped objects), have no text (convert to outlines) and save it back to AI version 10 or earlier.
