Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen

A couple yrs ago I created a drawing format for my companies customer. I had some help with it through others on the job familiar with doing such things.

I cannot remember how to make user defined parameters be filled in on the drawing when you are starting a new drawing from this created format.

Secondly I created my own start part and am sure I dont have it as complete as I should, this is beside the point. When I do the new part from start part file and I get the values to fill in of "description" and "modeled by", I fill this information in and now cannot find out how to get my drawing format to read these two parameters. Is there a way to add to this window to fill out more of the parameters then have the format pick these up as well. With the old companies format you entered this information when you opend a new drawing and after the sheet selection was made the parameter questions were asked as to who modeled and checked ext. It worked great!

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Ok I have figured out what the designate does. I need now to know how to pull these parameters into the drawing through the format I am trying to set up. Thanks for the help.

Create with your formats using tables. Then fill in the cells with something similar with this:

- user parameters - (must be created in part/assy for automatic filling, if not PRO/E will ask to fill in at the drawing creation time)

&description
&drawing_by
&checking_by
&mass[.2]
.
.
.

- system parameters -

&dwg_name(for drawing no)
&todays_date (for date)
&scale (for scale)
&current sheet
&total_sheets

Good luck

Thanks Hora

If you just use &drawing_scale or &model_name just a note will pick these parameters up but not necessarily the created parameters will be picked up in the note. If you put the note in the table cell and locate the note where you want it will see each of the parameters.

I do appreciate it.
