Sorry if this is a dumb question, but it is outside my normal area, so I’m not real familiar with this callout.

I have been asked to prepare a set of site drawings for a small project, and have been given an old drawing to use as a reference. On the old drawing the drain cleanout is labeled
“CLEANOUT
IE 601.5±”

Looking it up on Google makes me think it is some sort of materials requirement for drain cleanouts, but I haven’t been able to find the actual standard, only vague references to it.

Can anyone tell me where I can find the standard? I really don’t want to call out a spec when I have no idea what it is. Thanks in advance.

That could mean "Invert Elevation at Elevation +601.5 feet".

I think you are right. Looking at the old drawing it shows elevations and it is right around the 600' mark.

Thanks for the quick help.

The point the elevation is referring to is the inside bottom of the pipe.
