Hello,

Having trouble duplicating this surface that was created in UG. It's a dome on a curved surface. I'm having trouble with the dome. I tried using section dome, but that doesn't work on non planar surfaces.

Forgot to add that I am using Creo 2

Thanks for your help.

Victor

The first thing that comes to my mind is using a revolve and then adding the bottom radius.

Hello krow72,

Thanks for the reply. A revolve won't work because it won't give me the correct look. The edge of the dome needs to follow the contour of the base surface. I have attached another image to help illustrate. I also removed the edge round to clarify the geometry.

hi victor, if you can open creo 3 have a look at the file in the attached dropbox link. It's done using offset surface and vss with curves. Probably not the best way to do it but it works
