Hello all,

Modelling a pipe-end socket thermoforming-like simulation of PVC I been found a lot of problems, exactly that I try to do is this:

I have DMTA test results E' and E'' against time and temperature sweep.
The question is how EXACTLY do I use the DMTA results and convert them to the Prony Series parameters given I have E' and E'' against time and temperature sweep.

Has anyone done this before.

And how do I get the WLF or TRS data from the data that I have gathered so far.

The books I have referenced have been vague on the gap between the DMTA and developing the Prony series parameters and the WLF-TRS data.

Let me know if you can assist.

Test Data

Sample: 1.5mm Polyvinylchloride sheet
Geometry: Single cantilever bending 10mm x 5mm x 1.5mm
%RMS strain: 0.075
Frequencies (Hz): 0.316, 1.0, 3.162, 10.0, 31.6
Thermal profile: 2°C/minute to 120°C

Attached you'll find the DMTA graph

Regards

Pablo
