Dear Sirs,

Could you please explain the meaning of a feature called "DEF plain and Blocking modes" in distance relays?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,

Charlie

I hope.
DEF is directional earth fault, 67N.
usually this function is included two possibilities of operation: blocking or permit scheme/mode.
standard in lot of distance relays ( I think in all :) ).
