Distance relay on IBR 1

What are the issues or shortcomings of distance protection protecting transmission line which is connected to solar farm via IBR ?

Please do not assume everyone knows what specific acronyms mean. Pretty sure that in this context IBR does not refer to the Independent Business Review.

Inverter Based Resource given the context. The issue is that inverters have proprietary algorithms and don't behave at all like synchronous machines. Suggest line differential or traveling wave protection.
