Hello, I am using the ETAP software for my diploma thesis. In this project, I have connected several wind turbines together, and I am using underground cables (one cable per phase) buried at a depth of 0.8 meters, which extend all the way to a High and Extra High Voltage substation located 21 kilometers away. The voltage at the beginning of the cable is 33 kV.
In ETAP, I want to implement protection for these cables using distance relays. However, even though I select “Distance Relays” as the type, no manufacturer in the library shows any available distance relay models. Am I doing something wrong, or is it that ETAP version 16.0.0 simply does not include any distance relays in the standard library? Thank you.
