Hi:

Somebody have a chart for chilled water pipe support distances? SCHD40 Carbon Steel

Weight of pipe and insulation per feet or meter?

Please send me

Piping support spacing is dependant on the diameter of the pipe you are using and the materials of construction. Larger diameters can handle larger spacing in between supports. What diameter are you using?

ASME B31.1 Power Piping has a table that sets out support spans.

the maximum distance (for straight run)beetwen supports depends on :
1.size
2.thickness
3.temprature
4.material

but u can use below rule at general for chilled water
because of it's material and teprature :

a. 3~4 meter for sizes under 2"
b. 6 meter for sizes 2" and above.

I know the question has been answered already but for information table 121.5 of ASME31.1-2001 gives the following suggested span for pipes in water service for pipes of standard thickness or heavier with operating temperatures up to 400C

NPS inches span in metres
1 2.1
2 3.0
3 3.7
4 4.3
6 5.2
8 5.8
12 7.0
16 8.2
