You can put multiple RPT.QTY's in columns in a repeat region for various REP's or FAMILY TABLE INSTANCES. This works fairly well (I wish it was more automated)
What I want to know is if you can also display the REP or INSTANCE that the RPT.QTY is being pulled from. I tried adding a row with ASM.NBR.NAME and it just pulled the generic name. As the COLUMN MODE setting seems to ONLY apply to the RPT.QTY cell, I can't quite figure out an approach for this.

Kind of a work around, I use a description parameter just for BOMs and use asm -> mbr -> user defined. I used a naming convention for parts that doesn't lend itself to a description nicely. Now you'd have to do this for every part in the assembly plus add the description to the family table and enter that information in.
