disclosure of calculations for category 2 checks UK

Is it permitted to share calculations for the purpose of a Category 2 check on structural calculations? BS 5975 2008 states "The check should be carried out by an individual not involved in the design and not consulted by the designer".
Would the calcs alone be considered as a brief?
