Hi guys. Long time Microstation user (pre-SE!). I recently installed v8i onto a new desktop, all was working fine until I had a crash. Now if I place most palettes along the top strip (above the View Window) they disappear and can't be retrieved. The bizarre thing is that the main 'File' and 'Key-in' palettes are still ok and view. The most annoying thing is that the 'Snap' button bar is hiding up there and I can't get it back?!? I have tried to re-install, but this didn't make any difference. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

TMMoot, have you tried removing your UPF file and have MicroStation recreate one for you? It sounds like a user preference file problem. Do you have read/write accessibility to your C drive? If you want the toolbars to save location you need read/write to the ProgramData folder.

Thanks Bob, great advice. I did actually give this ago and created a new User and Profile in Microstation Manager. It wasn't a 100% success, but I now have an interface I can get by on!

Thanks again, sorry I didn't respond quicker.
