I've got this response on what needs to happen an S beam, and was hoping someone would clarify what exactly is being asked. Thanks!

"
S6 x 12.5#
rolled the EZ way toa 24” centerline radius, 90° held +/-1°
5” x 48” tangents trimmed, scrap remainder
"

I think they want confirmation on how you want the radius steel bent. They are confirming that they are going to "roll the easy way" (which means weak axis I think)

There is steel supplier that advertises every month in structure mag (I think) and they have all the different ways of bending steel on their advertisement. If you have that magazine sitting around, then check it out.

Like Joel, of my experiences, easy way is the weak axis direction and hard way is strong axis direction.

That makes sense, thanks guys,
What to make of this "tangents trimmed and scrapped"

Not sure, but I think you cannot roll to the very end of the beam. The rolling equipment has to have something to grab. So, the ends that are still straight, get scrapped. But not betting I am correct on this part.

I think it means that what you`re left with is a 1/4 of a circle, with no straights left on either end. Those tangents (straight segments) are cut off and discarded.

When you roll a structural item, you have some length at the ends that can't be fully formed, so you generally roll a longer section then trim it to the length required after rolling. So the issue there is who trims it, and what they do with the parts trimmed off.

I'm guessing this is for a monorail - to go a bit off topic, can your trolley accommodate a 24" radius?
