Disable auto contact detection on Mechanical startup

Hi,

I would like to disable the auto contact detection functionality on the startup of mechanical.
Sometimes it detects contacts that I dont want in the model, and since it is automatic when Mechanical starts, I forget to delete them.
Is it possible to disable the automatic creation of contacts on startup of Mechanical?
