Different Mesh Volumes 1

Hello,

I used to use abaqus to perform FEA but now i´m using SOlidworks simulation tools.

I have this question :

Picture a block divided in slices. I want a coarse mesh in some slices and a fine mesh in another slices. Or Tet elements in some slices and hex elements in other slices.

Can solidworks do this ? Or jusr generates Tet elements along all the block ?

Solidworks can only generate tet elements. You can apply a finer mesh in regions by using a mesh control.
