Hello,

I am new to Ansys. I have to carry out a thermal study of a printed circuit with electronic power components. This electronic circuit is used in an ATE (industrial) electrical cabinet. This study will allow me to define a thermal cooler.

Could someone tell me the difference between Ansys Workbench and Ansys APDL? And tell me in which used for my application.

Thank you

Workbench has a better graphical user interface compared to APDL. Workbench is also more intuitive as compared to APDL. ... APDL gives a very high degree of control to the user regarding the problem. The user has to specify each and every step of the problem manually thus the user is aware of everything that APDL does.

Hello,

Thank you for the answer.
So if I understand correctly, with APDL the results are more precise and we can control the parameters more easily.

I guess it also depends in which area we are working?
For example in the aeronautical / space sector it is better to use APDL than in a less demanding sector such as the industrial sector?
