Hi
Can anyone please help me what is the fuel temperature of conventional diesel engines at injection?
Is it different in RCCI or PCCI diesel engines?
Thanks

It's going to vary a lot depending on operating conditions and the specific engine layout.

Injector tips usually run at a few hundred degrees C. The fuel coming into them is somewhere between ambient and engine coolant temperature. How much time the fuel is in contact with the hot injector tip ... will be very different at idle from what it is at full load. But the injector tip ought to be running hotter when the engine is at full load. Which factor wins the tug-of-war? Who knows? It will vary.

RCCI and PCCI exist only in laboratories. Perhaps the researchers themselves might know, but I doubt if there has been any reason for that knowledge, if it exists, to go outside the laboratory.

Why do you need to know this? What are you trying to do that depends on knowing this?
