I'm working for a German company which has preferences set up in the drawing upon creation of a new drawing (must be in the drawing format).

What I'm looking to do is to eventually create a macro that will set up the drawings in the manner which I prefer to see things. I have been able to override most every setting except for the diameter/radial dimensions. The default does not have a stub come off the dimension line. Basically, it just comes straight off the center of the radius/diameter as shown here:

But, in my annotation preferences it shows that it's supposed to be 5mm long. I also noticed that the menu button is grayed out (the one right below the "Line/Arrow" button shown in the image linked below

Any suggestion how to fix that issue?

Also, on my dimensions any horizontal dimension has the text aligned horizontally, vertical dimensions text aligns vertically. That's annoying too. Want to try to fix that as well. (See this image)

If you are working for a company that has supplied a template, you need to get them to sign off on any changes you make to their settings.

I would agree typically, but I'm working for a separate division, all my prints go to local suppliers and they are used to reading 3rd angle projection ASME prints not 1st angle projection ISO prints so nobody outside of myself and the manufacturer and our inspection department will ever look at the drawing. So, I'm taking it upon myself to set up the annotation preferences the way I want them by running a macro before I start a drawing. Not worried about getting higher up approval.
