I am looking for any web site or any reference book where I will be able to find the design wind speed data [3 second gust and/or fastest mile and/or hourly mean etc]for various [if possible, all!] major cities in the world. Please guide me where to find this information if any one of you aware of this.

Go to Then "Engineering Publications", then
"Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC)", and finally "Design: Load Assumptions for Buildings".
Table 1 shows Snow, Frost and Wind Data inside of the US.
Table 2 shows Snow, Frost and Wind Data outside of the US.
You will not find all major cities, but some of them.
Good luck.

Thank you very much for this information. I tried the site, but unfortunately getting the following message.

"You are not authorized to view this page
You might not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials you supplied."

Any suggestion on how to resolve this???

Hello AM,
From time to time I can not access this site. Try a cople more times.
If you can not get it, I may e-mail this pdf file to you, if you post your e-mail address. (However, some sales people may see your e-mail and start sending you something).

Good luck.

The link worked for me. The data was in Appd B, pp13.

Hello whymrg

It is quite embarrassing to state that I am still unsuccessful in getting through the recommended site. If possible, I request you to send the pdf file to amajumdar@leblanc.com.au.

Thank you for your support.

Best regards
