Design Table with-Excel or ohters???

When I open the design table a spread sheet is suppose to open.
I don't have Excel but I do have OpenOffice Calc.
Is there a setting I can change to make it work with OO Calc or do I have to get an Office license with MS Excel?

Design tables only work with Excel. There is no option for using OpenOffice. Sorry!
