How do you find the Bending moment diagram and shear force diagram of a stanchion which supports a steel
beam connected to one of its flanges? The stanchion is 5.0m high and is pinended.

Step 1: Take a pen/pencil and paper.
Step 2: Make a sketch of the system.
Step 3: Think about it and figure how to do it. You are a student, learn how to do things.

Plot the forces on the beam. The plot cumulative area under the force diagram (integrate); that's the shear diagram, plot the cumulative area under the shear diagram; that's the moment diagram.
