Hi all, Trying to design a mudmat to carry a PLEM (pipe line end manifold) to be located 11m below water surface, soil bearing =15kN/m2, besides the centriod of PLEM wrt that of the mud mat, what other factor do i consider?

Tie-in loads due to expansion contraction
Installation loads - what sort of hub, or connector are you using?
Dropped object protection
Fishing / snag protection

11m...seems shallow for a PLEM? Where abouts is it?

Thank you so much London for finding the time to respond, your comment has been very helpful. The project is around east African coast.

g550,
1-I think "Retrival" would be another case you want to take a look at it.
2-To me 15 KN/m2 =313 psf, that's a good soil for subsea, but if you have skirt plates below your mudmat, just chack it for the penetration, and make sure penetration could happen.
