Good Morning:

Does anyone know what would be the design code for piping systems transporting liquid asphalt?

Thanks,

First of all, I am not a piping expert. My experience with asphalt tank projects indicates that B31.3 is typically used. But, I would sure like to hear that from others more knowledgeable.

As JoeTank said...use API standards

Usually we witness Pipelines 150psi steam traced with appropriately thick insulation layer& top GI covering for asphalt service in refineries.
Hope this helps somewhat!

Best Regards
