Hello all,

Often I do a quick and dirty Edge Blend to all edges of a solid body for rendering/visualization purposes. The way I do it is to use Edge Blend then select Body Edges for the curve rule. This will automatically select all edges of the body and apply the blend to them. But sometimes there is a problem with some of the edges which causes the whole operation to fail and prevent me from creating the Blend feature. Since it's not important to me that all edges have blends, I would like to simply deselect the individual edges where the error occurs. However, I cannot figure out how to do this. Of course another solution would be to individually select every edge in the body, but this is very time consuming if the body contains lots of edges. Any ideas?

@SvenBom,
Good movie. Will SE let you deselect individual edges on a face?

[green]To the Toolmaker, your nice little cartoon drawing of your glass looks cool, but your solid model sucks. Do you want me to fix it, or are you going to take all week to get it back to me so I can get some work done?[/green]

Well, I just came from a vacation, so this is also the reason for the late reply.

@capnhook,
Yes, I can deselect individual edges on a face. When I place round on a body, surface or edge, I can deselect any edge I want. I can deselect just one or more edges (filter set to edge/corner), all edgess from one corner (filter set again to edge/corner), all edges from one or more faces (filter face), etc. I just have to set the filter and then I can deselect what I want.

I have also reporterd this to gtac, and the report code is IR 1951017. The IR was already converted to PR 1951017, with priority code of 2 Serious.

Thank you SvenBom, I will try to keep up with the status of this PR.

Well, after some time, I have received an answer from GTAC. They have explained, that actually you don't have to wait for Quick Pick. You just have to deselect with Shift+FenceSelect. I have tried this and it really work fine. I have also attached the movie, so that you can also see, hot it can be done.
And if you deselect one edge to many, you can FenceSelect over this edge, and it will be added to the edge set. Just don click on the edge. If you just click on the edge, NX will add all the edges, since the filter that was used is Body Edges.
So in short, FenceSelect and Shift+Fence select rules.[smile]
The PR call was closed. And I also think, that I don't need those options, described from Solid Edge. This stuff is good enough for me.

Hope, that this anser and movie will help you guys, too.
