Is it possible to delete the origins of an ordinate dimension? I deleted a part in my drawing and the ordinate dim origin is still there. I'm using NX 6.0.5.3 on Windows 7 Professional.
Is the 'Ordinate' name still displayed? If so, just select IT, press MB3 and select the Delete option.
If the name is NOT displayed, go into the Ordinate Dimension function and when you do you will see what looks like a set of small vectors and a dot appear at the origin of the existing set of Ordinate Dimensions. Select it and you will see the Ordinate 'toolbar dialog' grayed-out but you'll also be asked to define a new location. Go to the 'Selection Bar' where the set of point options are displayed and the select the 'Point Constructor' icon. When the Point dialog opens you should be in the 'Inferred Point' mode. Select any point on the screen, it doesn't matter where it is, and hit OK. Now the Ordinate 'toolbar dialog' should no longer be grayed-out and you can now select the 'Settings -> Dimension Style' icon. When you do there is a item titled 'Display Name Style'. Change it to 'Ordinate Set Name' and then hit OK. You should now see the Ordinate name being displayed on the screen. Now leave the Ordinate 'toolbar dialog' and you should now be able to delete it as I described at the start of this post.
