Deformation of environmental seal ADVICE

I am needing to create environmental seals of various profiles in a manufactured state and also representative of a compressed state typically against a curved glass surface.
I have looked into Global Deformation and Shape Deformation but I am not sure if this is the best approach.

Any advice I can get will be greatly appriciated.
