i want to analyze i beam with simply support constraints, can any body help me on this issue?

Use beam idealisations and make sure that you only constrain translation at one end only to prevent rigid body motion. If you don't, your deflections won't be as high as large as they should be. Allow rotation at both ends.

thanx pjw,

the problem of mine is i m new to mechanica, what and how the idealisation is done ?

if any1 can suggest plz.

thanx.

Sorry,

You'll need training to perform, or help from someone sitting next to you to learn quickly and effectively for the long term.
