Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to decrease the variation in head pressure of a pump inlet line exiting the bottom of the reservoir. I need to decrease the variability in this pressure as the liquid level in the reservoir decreases. Any hints would be helpful.
Thanks!

Maybe you must trick the atmosphere, or put the tank under presure to regulate it to mantain constant.

The intake press is direct to distance from intake pipe
to free liquid surface.
or you can trottle the intake closing when hig an open when down.
After all , would you be more clear on you task to do?
Hope it hel you

It would help to know why this variation is undesirable (what problem is it creating).

Yes, there is a variation in pressure..... and yes, the pump will be operating at different points on the curve as the tank is emptied...... but it shouldn't make a difference.

Most pumps in this service are transfering a batch of something somewhere else...

If a constant pressure is required at some point in the process, consider a backpressure valve on the pump discharge.
