How do you calculate deaerator efficiency/performance?

Percent oxygen removal (for specified input conditions).

newengr,

ASME publishes a "Performance Test Code" (PTC 12.3)outlining methods to test deaerators.

PTC 12.3 is the most widely accepted code for deaerator performance testing. DA vendors will offer units that have guaranteed performance to this code.

Hope that this helps..............

Let us know more about the specifics of your installation and why you want to test?????????????

I use saturation conditions +/- 3F as my rule-by-thumb for deaerator performance check. I like to check the oxygen content of the water exiting the deaerator and exiting the boiler feedwater pumps as X-checks. I like to run the oxygen test in the absence of any oxygen scavenger.
