I'm relatively new to Ansys and working in a small office, I have no experts to refer to.

I have an automotive valve train part I'm trying to do a combined thermal-structural analysis on. The problem I have is that I need to varry the temperature loading with time. I know how to use tables to varry the load for one cycle, but I need to run MANY cycles to find a stabalized temperature distrabution.

Can Ansys be set to repeat a given cycle over an over again? OR run interations of one cycle using the result of the previous iteration as the initial temperature of the new cycle?

Thanks for the help, I'm sorry I can't go into details about the part right now.

Did you get a response about this situation?

I have a similar problem with an applied load-time history data that will generate initial transients, but I'd like to see the stabiized response!

Anyone else know about this???

thanks,
-steve
