Friends
I apologize for the long post.
I need to run 2 analyses in the same Structural analysis in workbench 19. 2. First I prestress the solid model without invoking large deflection using INISTATE Apdl snippet on a link180 element attached to the solid in the model. I can do this successfully on its own but not with large deflection turned ON. Then holding the results just like with bolt pretension, I want to apply a displacement loading on the model with large displacement turned ON so that the link stretches correctly and the stretch adds to the initial stretch and the link picks up the additional force too.
Mesh transfer option is messy and seems inaccurate-I lose the initial stress in the link, only the mesh is deformed. I lose node merge etc.
I want to try load steps. Unfortunately I can not figure out how to apply two load steps with different large displacement settings in workbench structural
Your input will be highly appreciated.
