I am trying to create a custom Esize border 72" x 36"
When I go to custom size and place these sizes in the sheet size increases however the border dissappears.
How do go about creating the size above with the border included?

Thanks for the tips but it looks like I have to go into edit sheet format and physically drag the top of my Esize border up to where I want it along with the right side.
I will then have to move my letters and numbers out to match the border along with my title block.
That is the only way I can see to get what I want done.

No problem here with those sizes (using SW2005)

What version are you using?

Explain step by step what you are doing.

We posted at the same time.

What you describe is supposed to happen. You were expecting the border to automatically re-size?

I was hoping it would do it automatically sort of like an easy button!

I am using SolidWorks Office 2006/SP 3.4

Your saying you don't have any trouble with these sizes.
Are you going about getting the borders to fit the same way I thik I have to?

Here is a jpg. of what I am trying to do.
Hopefully you can see I have the sheet size I want but not the border.
Unfortunately you can't see that the sheet extends out past the right side of my border and gives me plenty of room for my drawing view.

can you print this new size 1:1?
If can, make a new border template.

If can't, use an existing template and RBM, select properties and change sheet scale.

Aubreyair ... your first post stated that the border "disappears", so we were answering based on that. My reply that I had no problem with the 72" x 36" sizes meant that my border did not disappear.

Obviously your border is remaining in the new size sheet, as it should. And, yes it would be nice if SW automagically re-sized the border to suit ... but it doesn't. You have to Edit Sheet & re-size manually. Don't forget to Save Sheet Format when re-sized.

Send in an Enhancement Request if it is important to you, and hope that others will too.
