Hi guys,
need some info on some one with hands on experience with Refinery Scheduling softwares like RefSched, Haverley, Cosytech, Honeywell etc....
Actually, i want to know if these softwares give schedules in cofirmation with product yields (straight run, ofcourse). Actually, most of these softwares decopmose the problem into quantity (flow, volume and allocations of ships/VLCC to tanks and tanks to CDUs) and quality (product yields) subproblems. First they solve the quantity subproblem, then utilize its output to check if the demands on yields are met. If it meets the demand, then the schedule is ok. But what if the quantity problem introduces infeasibility in the quality part? Does the software go back and change the quantity subproblem to recalculate the quality? If so, what heuristics are used? What type of user inputs are requested?
Thanks...
