Crimped on Hi Pressure Pipe Fittings

Has anyone heard of a process in which adapters are crimped onto sched 80 pipe rather than the standard welded type?

I cannot help with sch 80 pipe, but we crimp flanges on high pressure metric tubing (see Voss). You can also bend this tubing and it is much cleaner than black pipe.
