CREATING TOOLING LIBRARIES ?

Is there any information on creating tool libraries in UG NX3 that can also be used by the purchasing dept to order and control tools. Can UG take a text file description of the tool which could be imported and used in the mfg. operations ?

This would be better asked in the UGS: Unigraphics (UGNX) forum.

NX does have a built-in tooling librray and has far a few years. The tools can be used in NC programs directly from the library files.
