I'm new to the NX world but I'm learning as I'm working. My situation is we have a part that is similar in everyway except for a couple of features which are present in one version but removed in another version. I've discovered how to create part families in the solids, using unique part numbers to distinguish between the two versions. My problem is how do I create separate 2d drawings with unique part numbers using the part families from the one solid model?

Create both family members as separate part files and then using the Master Model technique, create a drawing of each.

Note that Part Families was NOT intended to be used to drive a single drawing using one or more variations of the same master part. It was intended to act as a 'source' for any desired member of a 'Family of Parts' for use downstream, such as in assemblies. Think of 'standard parts' such as Nuts & Bolts, Bearings, Bushings, etc.
