I live in a cold climate where the use of salt is common. I was asked to review a parking garage for delaminations. The history of the parkade is: 35 years old, cast in place concrete. The parkade had been restored approximately 12 years ago. I had asked that a sample delamination be taken out. I found that the coverage on the rebar was average 1 inch or less. The previous restoration was uncovered and the patching had included coating the rebar with an anticorousion agent. The clean concrete fractured beyond the delamination, probably due to the lack of coverage. I requested core samples where there was no delamination, these cores confirmed the coverage to be less than 1 inch. I was able to use and ndt to determin the ramps were thin, in some places, less than 3 inches.
I am in 4000 square meters, I expect up to 10% delaminations.
Is there anything eles that I should be looking for
