Hey all,

What is a ballpark cost for extruding a small aluminum heat sink, no more than 50 cm long, 35 cm wide, and 20 cm wide?

Or better yet, is there an online handbook that would have this information (or something similar)?

I'd guess tooling cost to be about $1200-2000, part cost about $2-4 depending on qty, finish, aspect ratio, flatness requirements, etc.

I've used 8 or 10 heat sink extruders in the past. Let me know if you'd like any contact info. Kevin O'Connor
