corrosion in NHT stripper overhead system

I am working with a design that injects filmer/neutralizer in a carbon steel NHT stripper overhead system for corrosion control. I am comparing this with a design manual that says that extra corrosion allowance can take care of the problem. Will this work for condenser tubes made of carbon steel?
