Hi All,

My refinery is assessing the viability of using 100% DMEA in smaller quantities vs. typical 40% DMEA for crude tower overhead neutralization in both primary and vac towers. It seems that neat 100% DMEA should be relatively non-corrosive to any type of piping under about 140F. I have heard that 100% DMEA can become corrosive to even Hastelloy (quill material) at some temperature. Does anyone have any experience with this or opinions on whether this would work? All the information I have so far has been hear-say.

Thanks!
