Could you some one help me out how to determine a corrosion allowance for slurry piping/pipeline in oil sands mining process?
Generally speaking, I think that there are variables to do that, that is, size of solid, velocity, flow rate(min.& max.)and expected life time of pipe.
As well, I know that bend and tee should be overlayed inside to minimize erosion due to flowing velocity.
Then, for straight-run piping is it not required to coat inside but selecting thicker wall thickness?
Thank you.
