Over covid when the office was working from home I switched users reuse to C:\Reuse location for speed. We found that for some reason when other users opened these files the hardware was lost and unloaded. Trying to make a journal file to correct this but have been unsuccessful. All users had copy of resue on C:\Reuse and I would like to switch it back to the common network location we used in the past U:\STANDARDS. This problem went away as we switched to Teamcenter but recently came back as as-built drawings need to be addressed. The files were done in NX 2306 Native.

To be honest i do not really follow you here...
When running NX Native , it's the Load options dialog / settings that will "search" the files .
I'm not sure all are aware of the ability / how this works :
The order of the named directories is the search order.
"C:\projects\" will search this directory but not subdirectories
"C:\projects\..." will search this directory and all subdirectories

NX will stop searching when it has found all files which means that if one includes the "..." it should be the last search.
i.e the following is the stupid order since the first line includes everything on that drive : ( will take time)
"
C:\...
C:\projects\
"

In Teamcenter, there are no such directory searching.
Either NX finds the file or not.
It can be many reasons why it does not find the file , access is one.
