copy and past problems

Good day all,
I have been using DraftSight for a few months now. until yesterday i have been able to copy and past using my mouse, by right clicking and I would also select a specific reference point. I can no longer do that, when i right click now nothing happens. Any thought...(my mouse and its right click features work in any other program except DraftSight)

Check your layers. If your work layer is turned off it will still be copying to that layer even if you can't see it.
